Camila Greiner

I am a teacher with a true passion for education. Since 2017 I have taught Sociology and Humanities to High School and College Prep students through specific methodologies to foster academic excellence. While teaching I guided the learning process by stimulating dialogue and independent thinking, allied with the required academic curriculum. 

In 2019 I moved to Tel Aviv, Israel. Since 20I9 have been teaching in an International School from 5th to 12th grades. Following the State of California's Common Core Standards, I was in charge of teaching Humanities for Middle and High School as well to provide support for Elementary School in school's extra activities, such as Summer Camps.

From October 2019 to October 2023 I worked as Humanities Teacher from middle and high school. Teaching various subjects such as Social Studies and World History, I also have experience with Advanced Placement courses and exams, such as AP Psychology, AP US Government and Politics, AP Comparative Government and Politics, and AP Human Geography.  I have also supervised and monitored SAT exams to ensure test safety and enforce test policies.

Additionally, I have coordinated study clubs focused on debate and oratory and served as a Summer Camp counselor being responsible for children, promoting camp activities, and ensuring a safe and fun experience.

From February 2017 to January 2019, I also worked as a Sociology teacher at AZ High School in Rio de Janeiro where I taught Sociology to high-performance students in university preparatory exams and used special teaching techniques. Moreover, I have experience as an Anthropology teacher at Polo Criativo/Creative Economics School in Rio de Janeiro from March 2017 to December 2019 where I taught Anthropology to Specialization courses. I am proficient in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. 

I completed a Licensing in Education and Teaching Practices course at Candido Mendes University, Brazil, from March 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they earned an M.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (UFRJ) from February 2014 to December 2016 and a B.A. in Social Sciences from the same university from May 2010 to December 2013.
