Intel EGI develops next-generation high-performance long-range LIDAR systems for autonomously driving vehicles. The project involves cutting edge electro-optic modules for FMCW LIDAR, HW, VLSI, mechanics, SW FW and Algorithms.
We are looking for an experienced Algo DSP Engineer at the LIDAR system engineering group. Develop ASIC (HW) based algorithms for sampling, pre-processing and processing of multi-channel RF signals for LIDAR applications, as well as range and velocity estimators and image processing of the 4D (range/directions/velocity) representation of the LiDAR output. Deliver fixed point ASIC algo specifications to VLSI team, and DSP algo specifications to SW team. Develop comprehensive E2E simulation infrastructure for verification of algorithm pipes at the system level, and release algorithms to ASIC VLSI design and to FW and SW. Analyze field recorded data and confirm system performance through emulations. Work closely with the physics team to develop novel concepts for algorithms developments.

#EGI Qualifications BA/MA in computer science, mathematics and/or B.Sc. in Engineering, Science At least 5 years of relevant work experience Experience in DSP for RF signals (communication, RADAR, sensors) Experience in releasing algorithms to SW, FW and ASIC implementation. Good Understanding of multidisciplinary system modules - optics, mechanics, algorithms, and of the system level application. Close work interfaces with system architects, VLSI and SW teams. Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced work environment while supporting field tests and other team tasks. Preferred - experience in algo/system engineering development of electro-optic multi-disciplinary systems and/or of imaging system of other modalities Preferred - experience with image analysis / imaging sensors development.
