Oracle for Startups serves startups at scale to drive Oracle Cloud Infrastructure usage by providing the most robust and value-priced cloud in the industry. Our startups are provided with best in class mentors, experts in the industry, and access to enterprise customers to develop their businesses.
In your role as a Technical Program Manager, you will be supporting the expansion and smooth running of the Oracle for Startups program in [REGION] .You will report into [X] and will work closely with the Marketing, Business Development, Cloud Architects and Operations teams, as well as Technical Program Managers in other regions.
Your primary objectives and responsibilities will be:
Oracle Cloud Evangelist (60%): Be the lead ambassador and champion for Oracle technologies on the ground. You will be responsible for building momentum and a strategy for evangelizing Oracle technologies in the wider startup ecosystem. Develop presentations, demos, sample solutions, and discussions to help drive awareness and adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Coordinate in-person and virtual technical events such as developer kitchens; office hours; webinars and seminars to engage technical audiences and stakeholders at target startups. Deliver topical sessions on evolving areas of technology. Increase Oracle Cloud awareness and adoption by working closely with influencers in the local startup ecosystem (accelerators/incubators, universities, VCs, investors etc.). Provide business and technical guidance to startups to help them expand their businesses. Deliver tangible business results that increase Oracle Cloud consumption and drive customer success.
Program Delivery (15%): Develop and execute a customer-focused strategy to drive adoption of Oracle Cloud, in partnership with the Oracle for Startups Business Development, Marketing and Cloud Architects teams. Develop and implement frameworks and structures to drive engagement between members of the local startup ecosystem and Oracle. Provide best practices of ways in which we can localize the customer journey and experience to better fit startups within the region you cover. Collaborate with other team members and internal Oracle functions to help support the smooth running of the program. Work alongside other regional leads to deliver in-region program activities. Maintain KPIs and optimize processes to achieve success based on defined metrics.
Content Creation (15%): Work in conjunction with Marketing and PR to create, edit and curate technical content including but not limited to: Competitive Anaylsis Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Best Practice Guides and Quick-Start Guides Architecual Diagrams and Competitive Service Mappings Contribute other marketing copy and content as necessary
Migration Support (10%): Conduct technical sessions and educate startups who are considering migrating to Oracle Cloud, demonstrating technical capablility and credibility. Work directly with startups to understand their needs and be comfortable designing a target architecture and execution plan in migrating startups across to Oracle Cloud. Have a deep understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with a hands-on ability to implement best practices and suggest improvements. Review existing cloud implementations, identify gaps and suggest improvements. Act as a conduit between the startup and the Oracle for Startups Cloud Architects team. Develop and share guidance and best practice knowledge amongst the local startup ecosystem (meetups, accelerators/incubators, VCs etc.).
Core skills and experience required: Extensive experience working with startups. Bonus for having strong ties to the local startup communities. Avid technologist, with deep expertise in a major Cloud platform (i.e. Oracle Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure). Extensive knowledge of Oracle Cloud is a bonus. Experience working within the technology industry and/or directly in startup/VC ecosystems, ideally in customer-facing roles. Immediate credibility with IT Managers, Developers, Architects and CXOs. Desire to be onstage leading the broader industry towards the adoption of technologies you believe in. Experience in business development, technology-related sales or solution architecture role. Ability to engage with startups at the CXO level, developers and IT architects. Outstanding content creation, public speaking and presentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfort communicating across internal and external organizations, and both technical and non-technical audiences. Bias towards action, team player, and problem-solver. Fluency in English, both oral and written. Working proficiency in [SPANISH/HEBREW etc.] is highly advantageous and desirable. Ability to work across multiple time-zones with cross-functional teams.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
