Ribbon (formerly ECI Telecom) is looking for a professional and creative Digital HW Board Designer and FPGA Engineer, to join our HW design group which is responsible for the development of all of our new HW platforms, boards, and modules. We develop state of the art networking platforms and solutions, using the leading edge technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the HW board designer and FPGA logic design engineer , and a focal point of HW design in a high-end networking platform
  • Design and develop high-speed boards with signals up to 53Gbps
  • Design HW aspects and logic design aspects of FPGAs as part of the board design
  • Manage all development stages of the board, from requirements to design through integration and verification till release to production

    • Requirements

  • B.Sc.\M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering - mandatory
  • Experience in HW board design - mandatory
  • Experience FPAG logic design and integration of FPGA with all board functions - mandatory
  • Knowledge in VHDL , FPGA logic design tools and FPGA design flows - mandatory
  • Experience in high speed multi-gigabit links design
  • Experience in a design of CPU environment
  • Experience in high various control interfaces in various speeds ( e.g. PCIe , parallel and serial I/Fs )
  • Experience in memory devices designs ( e.g. DRAM memories like DDR3/4 ) 
  • Experience in high speed layout, design bring-up and verification
  • Ability to lead HW design activity in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to independently learn, investigate and implement new technologies
