We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Product Designer to join our Product Design team.

As a Product Designer you will collaborate with product managers, Development teamsand the other designers in the team, in designing innovative, user centered products that support animal health and welfare in both mobile and web apps.

The ideal candidate is a creative and independent individual, but one that knows how to work within a team. Adesignerwith a proven experience in holisticproduct development and has great design and UX instincts.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and develop understanding of the customer’s needs, the company’s product(s), and the business goals and initiatives of the company/department. Apply lessons learned to improve the quality of the department deliverables.
  • Be part of a team building a design system which support and communicate design concepts.
  • Create artifacts to visually communicate designs and user interaction including Interactive prototypes.
  • translate discussions and requirements into designs for web and smart phone application interfaces.
  • Collaborate with product management and product development/scrum teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Design User Interaction elements to include: navigation, menus, tables, graphs and forms
  • Design graphic elements to include: layouts, buttons, icons, and other components.
  • Design and adhere to styleguide on fonts, colors and images.
  • Identify and troubleshoot user interaction problems.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or 1 to 3 years’ equivalent experience designing web and mobile applications
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a digital designer, with both web and mobile (Android, iOS) experience
  • Working knowledge in Sketch- Mandatory.
  • Proven track record designing and releasing successful user experiences for multiple device types and contexts
  • A portfolio of professional product design work for both Web and Mobile platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a drive for quality and innovation.
  • A good understanding of UX patterns and digital design trends.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced development environment
  • Team spirit and strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

  • Working knowledge and experience with mobile and web interaction design standards and technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.)
