Position Summary

As the PM for the Automation and CI/CD components you will play a meaningful role in the success of our broader initiative to automate the delivery and increase developer efficiency across our customers' IT, security, and DevOps teams.

You will own how security modules integrate with dev-ops ecosystems, define declarative interfaces, build relevant APIs while also validating integrations with F5 automation processes.

You will handle the overall vision, roadmap and product features we deliver for our diverse set of global customers partners. You will need to be able to influence other product team roadmaps and prioritize CI/CD efforts in their backlogs. Using your technical expertise and deep experience in delivering features using agile methodologies, specifically SAFe, you will have to balance priorities to deliver on measurable outcomes.

The role requires collaboration and communication with senior leaders, and executives while defining detailed functional requirements, delivering within an agile delivery framework, and measured by key performance indicators. This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, balance various tasks simultaneously while contributing to a positive work culture collaborating with multiple development teams. In addition, excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills are important for this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with other product managers, development managers and technical leads across the organization to align strategies, roadmaps, release priorities, to mitigate risks and issues
  • Define and standardize metrics that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results
  • Independently author technical feature requirements in the form of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for varying deployment scenarios
  • Produce feature requirement artifacts, such as data flows, process flows, decision trees, state diagrams, and system context diagrams to support the delivery team
  • Produce and lead go-live release communications that educate users and/or impacted teams of the outcomes delivered via the new features and/or changes
  • Provide assessments and recommendations based on proficiency and delivery efficiency of proposed architectures and implementation plans.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment where there is a sense of purpose, ideas are heard, and decisions are clear
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Security and Cloud Domains
  • At least 3 years validated experience with DevOps, ideally in the containerization and orchestration domain
  • At least 2+ year of experience delivering solutions using modern source control solutions, such as GitLab or Jenkins
  • Familiarity with common deployment tools in cloud-native and traditional architectures
  • BS in an Engineering field or equivalent, an MBA is a plus but not required
  • At least 3 years of technical product management experience with ability to guide and influence engineers
  • Proven track record of partnering with internal constituents to define strategies, roadmaps, dependencies, and releases
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in security, network and application infrastructure technologies, sophisticated data analytics and cloud platforms
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker and tools (e.g. GIT, Postman, Jenkins, Scripts)
  • Familiarity with open source frameworks and general API's (OpenAPI, REST and Declarative API frameworks)
  • Familiarity with F5 technologies (BIGP, F5 automation tools), security-specific components including WAF, AFM, CGNAT, SSLO, et al.
  • Relevant security concepts (e.g. threat modeling, DAST, IAST, scanners, WAF, zero trust, FW and IPS)
  • Experience operating with a geographically dispersed workforce
  • An ability to learn and be an owner
  • Confirmed skill in written and verbal communication
  • A strong sense of ownership over the features you deliver
