    Org. Setting and Reporting
    The incumbent reports to the Head Field Procurement & Logistics Office/ Senior Logistics Officer.

    The incumbent: 1.

    Maintains personal records for the department, processing requests for employment and payment of daily paid staff and maintains attendance records.


    Assists in the preparation and updating of the Department's budget, monitors expenditure on a routine basis, and maintains records and related instructions.

    Liaises with Field Finance staff as required. 3.

    Is the focal point for the introduction and implementation of the computerization of the Procurement and Logistics Office activities, with the specific responsibility to ensure integrity and completeness of supply information.

    4. Makes cash payments from an Imprest Fund, keeps accurate records thereof and replenishes as and when necessary. 5.

    Maintains and controls issue of stationary, printed forms, fuel coupons, fuel for heating and cleaning supplies, prepares cyclic review orders for same, and raises inventory lists as and when required.

    6. Arranges for maintenance, repair and movement of office equipment and furniture and keeps up-to-dated records therefore. 7. Ensures proper mail and registry services for the Department and maintains appropriate files and records. 8. Establishes guarding schedules and overseas their implementation to secure the safety of the Agency's premises. 9.

    Ensures that supply compound guards check documentation for movements in and out of the supply compound to satisfy themselves that all items transported are covered by properly authorized documents such as load notes.

    10. Is responsible for drafting of contracts for services and the application of their provisions. 11.

    Keeps and updates signatory lists of expending officers and receiving officers on Procurement and Logistics Office documents and distributes to all concerned.

    12. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Conditions of service -Contract Type:
    Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need

    Grade and Salary:

    Grade HL08 Monthly basic salary USD2,750.10, payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate, plus a Jerusalem allowance payable in JD at UNRWA rate: a.

    The amount of this Allowance shall be NIS 2000 per month for each eligible Area staff holding Jerusalem ID and working in any of UNRWA installations in West Bank Field; or b.

    NIS 1000 per month for each eligible Area staff working in any of UNRWA installations in East Jerusalem and not holding Jerusalem ID.

    Other benefits include:

    • Provident Fund contribution (15.2% of basic salary paid by the Agency).
    • Dependency allowances (if applicable).
    • 30 days of annual leave.
