Catching Up - a series: today with Ali Anani

I am posting this is an “Out of the Comment Box” buzz as I am catching up on the works of some of the producers here on beBee. Today I focus on the buzzes of Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee.

In his buzz, Healthy Fit Lifestyle, Dr. Ali quotes Edward Lewellen:

“Knowing your Core Identity, your Purpose, and your Vision are the bedrocks, the foundation, to having Life Mastery and living a fully functional life.”

Dr. Ali sees us all as belonging to the same reality. This is reflected in his buzzes. In his buzzes, Dr. Ali, allows us to see a perspective that integrates who we are with where we are; we are a part of the dynamics of a process that occurs in nature. And there is much to learn from this perspective. I highlight, what is for me, some of the concepts found at the core of his work.

In his buzz, Changing Paths- is it a choice?, Dr. Ali writes:
“We take a pre-determined path with goals and indicators that we are on the right path and not deviating from it. A small incident or observation may bring huge awareness in us and find ourselves thrown into new challenges that take us into different paths.
Can we be "free-flowing" entities while strongly dependent on others?

In his buzz, A Simple Approach to storytelling, Dr. Ali writes:
“Great stories grab our hearts and move us emotionally. Emotions lead to action.
A great story has a dilemma to solve. It is a turning point where the hero of your story has to make a choice...
Life is predictable and small obstacles can be dealt with and normal life resumes.
This is where life starts kicking the hero and the escalation of feelings build up.
We all have a certain capacity to absorb mounting emotions or feelings. At some point our capacity shall be unable to hold the mounting emotions.”

In his buzz, Packing My Ideas, Dr. Ali writes:
“This tendency to “play together” in hexagonal structures amazed me. This is again reflected in our call for collaborative actions.
Is there a driving force hidden in us to lean towards hexagons? Are humans in alignment with other life forms in favoring hexagons?
Do we need to pack our ideas into hexagons so that they may absorb efficiently the sunlight of comments and transform them into better ideas? Shapes have their roles in our lives. They aren’t just accidental.”

In his buzz, Reverse Strategic Thinking, Dr. Ali writes:
“Familiarity breeds familiarity. Staying in the comfort zone creates idleness. Doing things using familiar thinking and procedures are recipes for continuing doing the same and the results shall then stay the same.
One way of beating familiarity is doing things in reverse.
The normal procedure is to go in steps up the ladder to achieve the desired goal. How about then going in the reverse direction? Walking a step backwards from the goal to make sensible guesses of what could be the precursor to the final goal. Again, a step backwards till we reach the present time.
Reversed roles- such as the teacher become the student and the student becomes the teacher. This reversed arrangement shall expose each party to the concern of the other. I would suggest extending this approach to CEOs and workers so that CEO would know about the difficulties that workers face.
There are great opportunities for those people who are ready to reverse their thinking and step out of their comfort zones.”

In his buzz, Scouting the Power of Leadership, Dr. Ali writes:
“The coercive power based on threatening followers that diverted my attention. The word coercive is used in hysteresis loops in which going from A to B and then from B to A doesn’t take a system back to A initially. Rather it follows a path as is shown below:
In electrical engineering and materials science, the coercivity, also called the magnetic coercivity, coercive field or coercive force,
Here comes the analogy with leaders. Leaders who have magnetic power realize that aligning people towards a goal may lag behind. The leaders job is to create a magnetized field so as to cause the magnet-like employees to align towards a common goal (and I prefer a common purpose)...
It is the leaders’ responsibility to that he keeps the environment magnetized. A leader who can turn employees into permanently magnetized ones is doing exceptionally well.
The coercive force is the result of putting employees in a magnetic environment. It is there. Using threatening as a coercive force will only demagnetize employees and the whole loop shall fall down.”

In his buzz, Pairing Repelling Comments, Dr. Ali writes:
“I welcome negative ideas…I apply the principle of pairing. Negative ideas are a source of magnetism as we may pair them with upwards pointing ideas.
I think the theory behind this is like Yin and Yang, where you have two things that are totally different, but still goes together in the sense that one enhances the other’s good aspects and covers its less desirable qualities, so that they can still be harmonious without blending…I view the pairing of negative comments with positive ones. They need not be in harmony, but still they may enhance the flavor of each other.
We may extend the same concept to emotions. When we go through downward facing feelings because of a loss of a beloved person or whatever we find ourselves in depression, sadness, anger or whatever negative feelings we may have. This is the opportunity to pair these negative feelings with upward pointing feelings to create the magnetic result of this pairing.”
