Q&A@beBee with Ali Anani

With Q&A@beBee, I ask some of the most interesting people on this network 7 questions. The result, unedited, is the most fascinating answers. Q&A@beBee is an ongoing series that gives us the opportunity to hear and learn from, and be inspired by, some of the most successful people, as they speak for themselves!

1. What motivates you to get up in the morning?

All through my life I leave bed as soon as I wake up. I feel the urge that life is movement and staying in bed is laziness and freezing. May be this realization is what makes my average sleeping hours all through my life between 5-6 hours.

2. How do you spend the first hour of your day?

I spend the first hour of the day either thinking about few ideas that crossed my mind just before sleeping or even during sleeping. My mind is fresh in the morning and I find this is the best time to crystallize ideas. In fact, only this morning I lived this experience. We have a very promising new client and he requested us for an idea for a video that he wants to produce for his company. For one week, no solid idea surfaced out. All of sudden this morning at the dawn time I woke up with an idea based on a buzz I wrote for beBee. I drew the sketch of the idea and then discussed it with the team. The team member got so excited and started doing some details. Fifteen minutes ago I sent the sketch of the idea to the client. He emailed his immediate approval and appreciation. He is ready now to sign a contract.

3. What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about people and serving them. I believe helping others shall help me too. I thrive on generating creative solutions for them. Nothing excites me like finding a new idea. I feel myself then flying with no wings. I am also passionate about reading and expanding my knowledge to grow my realization that what I know gets less and less every day.

4. What is the most practical advice you can offer someone in business?

Success comes to those who deserve it. Success is a reward for hard work, passion and faith. The path to success is bumpy. It teaches us a lot and we have to suffer pains along the way. Persistence is required. Faith in that a solution shall emerge for every knot has a solution. No success in business shall come without being geared towards people. People are the biggest reality in life and more real than the tools used in business

5. If you had the opportunity to ask a great mind any question, what would it be?

What did you learn from your failures and successes? How did you grow your mind to accept failure and not be drunk by success?

6. Name a book that changed your life.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull. The book was published in 1970 and for me was a life changer. It taught me the best lessons on how to care for others, communicate with them, persuade them and take them to higher heights. It opened my eyes to the value of passionate leaders with purpose.

7. Share a quote that inspired you.

“Failure is a stepping stone to success.” This is what the first quote that crossed my mind.
