Welcome to Wednesday Word(s) of the Week at beBee: WWW.beBee
For this week, an exchange between CityVP 🐝 Manjit and Savvy Raj on the word UNSHACKLE.
Savvy Raj wrote a buzz Soul Cages. Below, please find the comment of Manjit and Savvy's response.
Freedom is often the illusion we feel most free in but unshackle is a tangible action and it might be multiple actions or a continuous state of becoming or renewal. We are most free when we don't know we are - and then someone asks how do you do that? Then we become conscious of a moment that actually was freedom.Image credit: Pesticide Action Network
So I find the word unshackle interesting.
In this video I found called UNSHACKLE - it isn't about people who are unshackled but a recital of artists who feel shackled by neo-liberalism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmMxUAJ2duQ In less than five minutes they do produce an interesting video yet the word "Unshackle" is a hope here rather than a personal exploration. The boogie man here is neo-liberalism the video calls a deep dystopian faith a dominant worldwide ideology exhibiting all the signs of a religious cult" etc etc etc
The important thing here is that just from this one word Unshackle it sets off different trajectories and pathways, a bit like random atoms hitting each other in a collider and the scientists watches for new particles to form. In my case a new particle online is finding something that perks my interest that I would not otherwise would have found - and in this case this particle is Portugal originating art project : Museu da Crise http://www.museudacrise.org/
Now that to me is more soul and less cage but when it comes to the ownership of our own mind, it remains all relative. CityVP Manjit
Thank you City VP Manjit for these interesting links that propel a new direction of flow in the shifting perspectives of thought. Appreciate this focus on the word' Unshackle'. As I saw it here Unshackling is a focussed approach as well and has the potential to create new spaces for light and every now and then . A conscious unshackling of patterns of thought brings forth new and diverse ways of thinking and such a diversity acknowledges new movements and breeds further creativity. And in such unshackling there is the underlying freedom to evolve further .
