A Thoughtful Share

Hi all bees! I have started a new hive which I am calling, “A Thoughtful Share”. I am hoping that it will be filled with our contributions of thoughts we have had, now and again that have not, as yet, found a home. Well, this hive can be a stopover for those thoughts. I am not talking about quotes or sharing someone else’s ideas. I am talking about our own “musings”.
I am going to start with three of my own.
1. The most challenging condition in a relationship is the one that calls for an unconditional love.
I have always had difficulty with the term “unconditional love”. Isn’t that a condition, in and of itself? It reminds me of the Epimenides paradox about true and false statements such as, “This statement is false.”
2. As long as we see the sun rise and the sun set, we will continue to be locked in a mindset of time as being linear.
I am assuming that one of the reasons we used to think that the sun revolves around us is the experience of the sun rise and the sun set. We have moved out of the illusion that the sun revolves around us, yet we haven’t been able to move out of that impression. The fact is, we are in a perpetual rotational, circular, cyclical, state of motion. Time moves around us and we move around time. Try watching a sun rise or sun set next time while feeling us move away or towards the sun and not that the sun is moving up higher or moving downwards. “See” what it feels like; same, different?
3. Procrastination can be a great producer.
I definitely don’t recommend this to anyone and am trying to make behavioural changes for myself, but… It never ceases to amaze me how much I get done when I am procrastinating on a project. That is until the pressure of the deadline sets in, then I get focused on the project. I hope you enjoyed this buzz and idea for the hive. Did I mention that I am working on a project?

Thank you Gert Scholtz for introducing the important aspect of the visual perspective (to your intellectual perspective) when experiencing time. Now I will always be aware of where the sun is rising or setting in terms of open space or a cityscape.
